Resolving problems
Problems with the accessibility of this website are treated as high-priority defects and not feature requests. This means that they will be investigated and resolved as quickly as possible. Any issues that cannot be resolved, for whatever reason, will be listed here.
Standards
The goal is for each page of this website to meet the requirements of WCAG 2.2 Level AA, an international standard for creating accessible online content. As of , all pages are thought to meet that standard.
Testing
Updates are made to this website regularly and both manual and automated checks help identify accessibility issues before changes go live.
- During design, tools are used to test things like readability, use of color, and the contrast between foreground and background.
- When the code is being written, potential problems are flagged by a system called 'linting' so that they can be fixed immediately.
- Each time the website is built, automated checks are performed on the code to identify problems that may have been introduced.
- Before going live, changes are published to a 'staging' environment for testing. Automated end-to-end checks run in a web browser, but because only 20–30% of accessibility requirements can be tested automatically, a person also reviews the site to catch anything that automated tests may miss.
