Building Accessibility into Open Source (Lightning Talk)

Talk by Maria LamardoPart of All Things Open 2026

Duration
Raleigh Convention Center, Raleigh, NC

Open source projects want to improve accessibility, but many do not know where to start. In this talk, we introduce the Open Source Accessibility Framework, a practical phased approach that helps projects build accessibility into their documentation, workflows, testing, and community practices over time.

This is a lightning talk during the Day 2 Lightning Talks session (1:00pm to 2:10pm, Ballroom B). A full-length version of this talk runs at 3:15pm in Room 307.
